What is an ordinary American's obligation to the world's poor? Peter Singer, philosopher Princeton University bioethics professor, argues that for the first time in history, we're in a position to end extreme poverty throughout the world. In The Life You Can Save: Acting Now to End World Poverty, Singer famous for compelling people to re-consider and even change long-held beliefs (Animal Liberation), offers unconventional thoughts about what an individual can do to end global poverty, explaining how much to give, how to give it, and to which organizations.
