Estimated attendance
 16  people attended.

Who organized?
Anthony and Suzanne

Let's do a potluck picnic. We'll aim for the picnic tables under the tree near the playground. We should have a canopy in case of the R word.

Please bring something vegan to share -- and leave a comment on the event's page so others can make complementary choices. Water/drinks, glasses, plates, utensils, napkins are good too, even if you just bring enough for yourself -- ie., don't assume that someone will have extra for you to use.

I haven't have any issues making her frosting. you gotta use the 1/2 eb, 1/2 shortening trick though. I use eb sticks, sift the powdered sugar, and mix w/ a fork. though I have used a mixer too.

Do you have good luck with Isa's icing? It always turns out thin for us.

It goes until everyone gets tired and leaves. I should expect until at least 2pm.

If I do make it to the event I am thinking of bringing some iced tea since that's easy for me to tote around.

OK, so no ferry ride. How about Lincoln Park in West Seattle near near the Fauntlleroy ferry? It's a nice (Seattle) park with varying sized shelters for rent. They run from $25 to $85, but it would require a commited group to split the cost. Beware of the listed capacity. We're talking standing room only. See http://www.seattle.gov/Park.... Also, what about St Edward since no one could make that, not being very good minute-men? Bastyr is having a healthy event June 6th.

Why not take a fun summer ferry trip to the Kitsap Peninsula, somewhere like Poulsbo, Kingston, Bainbridge, etc? I checked into the Pavilion in downtown Poulsbo. It's $25 for 4 hours and will easily shelter 50 people, with surrounding tables, for nice weather. Transportation is a consideration. If held on a Saturday, Kitsap Transit runs buses from the Bainbridge Ferry. Otherwise, car pooling($29/car round trip) or bicycle (about 13 miles) is an option. June 6 & 7 are available from 12-4. ???
