Hike on the McDowell Mountains Lost Dog Trail & optional Veg Lunch!

We'll meet in the parking lot North of Shea Blvd on 124th St where 124th St ends at the Lost Dog Wash Trailhead. Phil will bring some trail maps to hand out. There will be two routes with different difficulties:

1)The Lost Dog Wash Trail/Ringtail Trail loop, which is considered "Easy" and covers a 300' elevation change. This is about a 3-mile loop hike, with no backtracking. The peak is at Lost Dog Overlook, with an elevation of 2000'. We'll enjoy views of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Indian Reservations.

2)The Lost Dog Wash Trail/Sunrise Trail, which is considered "Moderate" and covers a 1,150' elevation change. This is about a 6-mile round-trip hike. We'll hike the 3 miles up to the peak, enjoy the view and return the way we came. We'll enjoy views of Phoenix, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Four Peaks, Mesa and various Indian Reservations.

Sabuddy's is located on the south side of Shea Blvd, on the SW corner at 70th Street. It is is accessible from 70th Street, just south of Shea.
