Hey everyone! Let's enjoy the day together at the 2009 Vegefood Festa! This is a great place to try some new vege-foods and see what new things are happening. This year everything is Vegan! Check out the website for more details: http://tokyo-vegefes The festival will go on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of October. Our meet-up will be for Sunday at 12pm. If you can't make it then, please check it out on Saturday. This will be an open meet-up and you can choose 'maybe' if you like. The Plan: We will meet in front of CC Lemon Hall around 11:45. At 12:00pm we will head into the festival. After we browse around a bit, we can all grab some grub and eat together. Everyone is free to do what they like, you do not have to stay with the group unless you want to. I just figured it would be more fun to go there as a group. Hope you can join us. Join us for the October Pink Cow Buffet. It's a great chance to meet new members and make new friends. The menu just keeps getting better and better. Dinner starts at 8PM - all you can eat buffet menu „2,800 (drinks separate) For maps and more info please check www.thepinkcow.com Food is prepared based on people who commit to "yes." Please only commit to "yes" if you are sure you can come, so we can respect the hard work that goes into preparing a special menu for our group. Let's use the honor system and avoid "no shows." Please RSVP one week prior so I can give a headcount estimate to the chef. This is important because the restaurant prepares the shopping order based on the number of confirmed people. No rating yet We have had to cancel this dinner, as Manna has had to begin the process of relocating and revamping their services. Please check their website for updates about reopening in the next month or two. Hey everyone! The party at Manna seemed to be a big hit. I'd like to invite you now, to have dinner there. This will be a set course at 5800 yen per person. Dinner will start at 7:30pm, Friday, October 9th. Note: This is by RSVP only. If you RSVP 'Yes' but do not show up, you will still be charged 5800 yen. The set course will include - drink (non-alcoholic), fruit dish, soup, appetizer, salad, main, 3 desserts. You have 3 choices for your main dish - quiche, pasta, or pizza - You must select one when RSVPing. (drinks and desserts may be selected at the restaurant) Reservation is for 10 but there will be a waiting list in case someone needs to cancel prior to the event. RSVP deadline is Oct 7th, 11:00pm. Let's enjoy a light brunch at this new at this trendy Pātisserie in Jiyugaoka. This place is near my apartment so I go here often. It's really nice. One of our members, Hiroko, works there. We've got room for 12 people at this event. Everyone will order separately. Please check their website for menu details(Japanese only). http://simplemodernm Reservation is at 12:00pm but we will meet at the Jiyugaoka South exit at 11:45 and walk their together. Please try not to be late. If you come late, your on your own to find the place. I have reserved the whole restaurant for our group. We can stay until 2pm. RSVP is absolutely required for this event. "No shows" will be charged 1000 yen. You can read our RSVP guidlines here if you like. Note: I have changed the number to 10 people. You can still join the waiting list. Thanks. Let's enjoy a Friday evening at Vegan Healing Cafe in Shibuya. This will be a nice affordable event. Vegan Healing Cafe has great food at a great price. No set menu, but everyone is required to order one main dish and either one drink or one dessert. Total price would be around 1300 to 1500. Check out their website for map and other details: http://www.vegancafe EVENT DETAILS: Vegan Healing Cafe - Shibuya Friday, September 25th 7:00pm - Our reservation is for 7pm. Last order is at 8pm so don't be late. They close at 9pm so we will have to clear out then. Check their website for menu details. Everyone will order separately. This should be a great event. One small change: The front two sections and some of the upper section will be reserved for us. The back couches by the bar will be for other customers. The raw food movement is taking off like crazy in Tokyo and around the world!! Come get a taste of some healthy delights on Sunday, September 13th from 6-9pm at Manna, Tokyo's new raw food restaurant. We will be teaming up with the Love & Veggies Raw Meetup group to enjoy a wide variety of dishes, appetizers, and desserts so that you can get a feel for what raw food is all about! Take a look at Manna's website for directions and info, and Lucina's website for pictures and more info on raw food dishes: Price: 3,000yen, collected on the day of the event. Hey everyone! Let's enjoy some great Taiwanese food at Chien Fu in Tachikawa. They have a huge, bilingual menu including many mock meat type dishes. This restaurant is recommended by one of our members, Hitomi. Thanks Hitomi! Chien Fu is located on the 7th floor of the Gran Duo building, above Tachikawa station on the Chuo-line. This is a bit farther out than are usual meet-ups but hopefully more convenient for some of our members. http://www.nakaichif Dinner will start at 6pm. Reservation is for 10.
