“ Vegans everywhere have to support, encourage each other and encourage non-vegans to come forward. It is good to meet people that do not think you are crazy nor ask, "so what do you eat anyway?" type questions! It is great for the rest of the world to see that we exist and how many different types of vegans that there are. ”

“ Key points: Effort and Results. Effort: Everyone did their part and more to break the ice of a first meeting, open up conversation and bring out people's personalities. Results: It worked. Conversation pulsed and lived. It was comfortable and free. The best efforts don't always succeed in these kinds of situations. There are many times when (for whatever reason) people just don't make connections no matter what effort is put forth. I felt anly 3 short moments that almost descended into awkward silence, but Earl or someone quickly picked up the ball and we were running again. It worked. I never really felt the ice of a new bunch of people meeting for the first time. It just like friends getting together. ”
