Introduction
Just began following an animal-free diet over this past summer. It started as a challenge of sorts, to myself, but a few months in and I can't ever see going back. There aren't many vegans around here (Wolcott) & I'd love to make some new buddies!
Are you vegan primarily for health, moral reasons, or both?
Health, but that's not to say the morality isn't there. I've never been much for wearing animal products and I avoid them when shopping for household & hygiene items when financially feasible.. but always vegan toothpaste :)

If you're vegan, from either the Hartford or New Haven area & want to be able to just relax with a group of people who share the same beliefs/interests then this group is for you! I am a new vegan/still transitioning ethically and didn't feel judged or out of place at all among the "veterans" at my first meetup. It was a very laid back, relaxing and friendly experience that allowed me to breathe huge sighs of relief at everyone's tales and experiences that I could actually relate too! Also a vital way to network or find out about other vegan/veg-friendly places in the area.
